Hi,
I am a newbie to selling on eBay (currently 6 months into selling) and I am still figuring things out.
So here it is.
Recently, I listed a set of item, which is a Barbie doll set of dress, bag, and shoes which I clearly stated in the title AND even description that I only sell the clothing set, doll not included even though I used a doll as a model, which everyone does.
While I have no return policy, this buyer still wants to refund of the item. What should I do about it?

"which I clearly stated doll not included"
Providing the buyer had a magnifying glass & on a mobile device even less chance of seeing it.
If the buyer opens a case for Item Not As Described you will be refunding.
The decision is yours...I would refund without return for such a small amount & block the buyer.

Ebay will see it as picturing something in the listing that is not included. You should NEVER picture anything in the listing that isn't included in the sale. You are in Indonesia~~if this sold to a buyer in the USA or other country it will cost you a LOT to pay for return shipping. Being such a low cost sale just refund the buyer and let them keep the item AND change your listings removing anything that isn't included in the sale.

Sorry, but not everyone shows clothing on a doll that's not included. In fact, if you look at "vintage barbie clothing", it seems the majority do NOT include the doll.

I just got a positive feedback from a buyer yesterday who thought the item he purchased from me was something else. He is a "stand up" buyer who admits his mistake, is not asking to return and is selling it himself instead. He's using my pics in his listing which is fine with me but he's never going to get the $$ he's listing it for. I sold it to him for $37.99 with shipping included~~he's asking $38.00 with $14.50 shipping. I listed mine at the going rate for what the coffee maker was selling for. I'm just glad he didn't lie and claim a SNAD.

But in case of an item like clothing or in my case, doll clothing, people would like to see it in a model. Genuine question, does most people not read the description when they buy something? Or just see the title, main photo and just buy it like that? Some even don't realize where my location at and just knew after they received the item. But oh well, I guess, I could take this as a lesson learned and be more detailed about things. You learn as you go. I'm a newbie after all. Thank you all for helping, I really appreciate that.

Oh, and here's the description below. with the title. I guess I can see where they could go wrong with this. Title could be misleading.
"Set of Dress, Shoes, Pouch,Barbie Mattel Indonesia 2011 Birthday Doll Model Muse
**Please read before any purchase**
What's in this set:
Doll and other accessories isn't included.
The particular Barbie doll is made to celebrate 2011 Mattel Indonesia Inc. birthday, however the doll itself isn't included.
A new item, from freshly deboxed Barbie Mattel Indonesia 2011 Birthday Doll.

Only include what is in the sale, Do not put in pictures anything that is not in the sale. People make quick inpulse buys of things and sometimes DO NOT read the descriptions. Being that the pic is the first thing they see on a listing before clicking into the listing, they may make a mistake and then realize later they did not read the listing.

Ebay CSR Rep's have said that number of buyers don't read before buying the item's they are looking at.

Monday morning I headed up to MN. for a few days. I packed up the 2 orders I had and took them with me since Monday was a postal holiday. I mailed them from Rochester. I got home yesterday to a message that one of the buyers wanted to cancel their order~~too late. I don't know if they ordered the wrong thing or what the problem was. I downloaded the tracking numbers and immediately got a message from ebay that they had informed the buyer she couldn't cancel the order since it had already been shipped. Then I sent a message to the buyer telling her I had mailed it from Rochester and wasn't home to get her message that she wanted to cancel. She's stuck with the blade for the food processor whether she wants it or not (I didn't say that to her). If she tries to return it I hope the messages through ebay that she wanted to cancel will be enough that I won't have to accept the return (I have a no return policy).
