I sold an auto part for a vehicle and clearly stated which model of car it fitted. The buyer messaged me stating he was going to gamble and try fit it to an older model of the same car. Item was shipped, received and positive feedback given on both sides.
A week later, he requests a refund stating the item is defective because it does not fit his vehicle and he's trying to fit another part (which he bought elsewhere) with this part and they don't fit together.
Where do I stand on this?

eBay will make you take the return. Minimize your loss and accept the return or you may be out the money and part both. Not my policy but explaining how eBay will rule on it. Sorry for idiot buyers. We all get them Good luck!

I would contact the buyer and ask them to close the return request. He knew it was a gamble and it not fitting his car is not a defect, as it was designed for his car. If he still insists I would call eBay.
