I would appreciate some guidance. I don’t ship internationally, but I’ve just had my first buyer who is using a third party shipping company. They messaged me (after they purchased and paid) and told me the address they are using is “thier countries postal hub” and the package would be forwarded to Malta. It’s a shipping company. They want me to add thier accout code to the address when I ship. They also asked for my address for the declaration. Since I don’t ship internationally, and would be shipping to the third party at a US address, why would they need my address for the declaration?

The freight forwarder's info needs to be used, not yours. The buyer doesn't need your address for a customs declaration. Your shipment is domestic, end of story.
If their account code is a reference for the freight forwarder to ID their package then you can add it, but really the buyer should be doing that when they check out.
Buyer Name (acct code)
Street
City, State Zip

Be careful about changing addresses with these guys.
John Doe
1732 NW 82nd Ave
Doral, FL 33126
They probably want to change it to
John Doe MPQ32001
1732 NW 82nd Ave
Doral, FL 33126
In this case no big deal add the MPQ32001
But if they want to change the street address/city/zip code cancel and have them checkout again
