With all the late deliveries due to the incompetency of the USPS and it's moron of a leader, the Postmaster General, how about boycotting the USPS and instead use UPS Or Fedex even if it costs a little more? Is it really worth upsetting your buyers just to save a few dollars? As a buyer, I would gladly pay a little more to make sure I received my package on time. USPS Priority Mail is a joke.

I live out in the country and don't have access to either UPS or FedEx. What do you want me to do?

It would work for a lot of users; I am in a small place and such would create problems.
It is why I have been forced to back off new listings: Just a few to see how it is all going...

I don't like using services that can surprise me a month later with extra charges.

Obviously keeping your buyers happy isn't a priority for most sellers after all.

Make a trip once a week into a city or town that has UPS. Most places have drop off places as well as UPS stores.

So, first you make a comment about USPS users not caring about keeping their buyers happy, and then you suggest shipping once a week with UPS/FedEx as an improvement. LOL.

Where did you get that idea? People who replied here have explained how that would not work for them. Why does that indicate that these sellers don't want to keep their buyers happy.

Who are you to dictate that? I have one day shipping. You sell here for a few years and then come back and talk. You really have no clue.

First of all, learn how to read. I SUGGESTED boycotting the USPS since so many items are late being delivered. It doesn't matter if you have one day shipping or not. Once the item is in the carrier's hands it is out of the seller's control. If the USPS is constantly late delivering items even if they were shipped using Priority Mail then how does that help the buyer receive the item? You obviously have no clue.

Because there's absolutely no reason it wouldn't work for them. There are UPS and Fedex pick up sites all over. Obviously it's an inconvenience for the sellers so that just proves their buyer's happiness means nothing to the seller.

What's wrong with shipping your items out once a week for the buyers who request using UPS or Fedex as opposed to the USPS? Like I said, sellers don't really care if their buyers are happy or not. Otherwise they would try harder to keep them happy. That's okay, be that way. Just don't cry when buyers leave you negative feedback for late deliveries. You can't have it both ways. Have your cake and eat it too.

I switched everything to Fed Ex Express 2 Day Service prior to Christmas. Get a fantastic discount here on Ebay buying the labels here. Have great success with their service except for the snow storm that hit Memphis last week. It was one of the BEST decisions i made for my business here during these crazy times.

I would love to only use FedEx and UPS.. Problem is I only recently learned that eBay lets buyers select whatever shipping service they want rendering you selecting one useless. I just had to contact 4 customers asking if they'll be willing to just pay for UPS as the post office has been closed the past few days and has negelcted to pickup packages more than three times. For smaller sellers not close to enough X shipping company, this is an absolute nightmare.
I spent time selecting which products I would ship via USPS and which ones I'd have to be crazy to ship via USPS. I recently had a discontinued figure sell and the buyer selected USPS. I just paid for FedEx on that one because it was a nice discount and you know.. But obviosly we can't do that every time. Once March gets here, sales will pick up. Having to message each customer seperately to attempt to explain the situation will become tedious and costly for some sellers.

When FedEx and UPS can do First Class and Media Rate, sign me up. Currently, the monopoly continues at the US Postal Service (but we do have SSK's now, Self-Service Kiosks which are terrific unless a bozo is trying to buy postage from one, cheat the scale, doesn't know how to use a CC, has never mailed a package before, thinks they own the world ... I'm still waiting in line for them to finish).
