I could not edit the address on the printable label Ebay provided, however I did already create the label and it's in their system as "shipped" and tracking number provided. Today I went to USPS and their only option was for me to pay and create a new label with the correct address, which I did and shipped the item.
My question is how would Ebay confirm when the item is delivered? The original label will never move, I cannot edit the original tracking number or cancel it, however I did provide a second tracking number for the new label I created which will be delivered. I just want to know if this will workout and if they will release the funds to me?

If you do file the package intercept, your next step would be to wait and see if it's successful.
If the package gets returned to you then your next step would be to cancel the sale with the reason 'problem with buyer's address' or if the buyer files an item not received claim before you have the chance to cancel, then refund through the claim.
If the intercept is unsuccessful and the package is delivered, you'll need to wait and hope the buyer doesn't file an item not received claim because, as we said above, you have no protection against it. eBay will not consider the buyer's messages.

Oh no. In your shoes I would file a package intercept @missiondrago because it will be well worth the $15 if the package is successfully retrieved.
You lose all protection against item not received claims when you ship to a different address.
On top of that, are you sure the request to change the address came from your actual buyer and wasn't sent from a different eBay ID?
This has the makings of a SCAM set up where you'll be out your gaming system and forced to refund the buyer in full.

With that item and a new seller, there's a good chance the message you got to change the address, wasn't even the buyer.

Sellers should never change the address. Sellers lose all protection (what there is) if they change the address.
You should file an intercept with USPS and pay the money to get your item back.
Please read all the information under "sell" "selling" at the bottom of any page.

Yea the messages came from the buyer, just double checked.. Is there no way to contact ebay about the situation and show them the request to change address? Im really not trying to go through all the hassle

Well would it still work? If the item is delivered with the new label will ebay be able to confirm it since I provided the new tracking number on the website? Can the buyer easily just select that the item was not delivered and I wouldn't be able to contact ebay with the messages as evidence to dispute?

It doesn't matter that the request came from the buyer. You lose all protection. Period.
Either go through the hassle of filling out the online form or risk a loss of the money and the product. The choice is yours.

@missiondrago All the buyer has to say is not delivered because the address is not the address on the sale.
eBay will not read your messages and look at your evidence.
IF you dont want to file and pay for an intercept of the item then dont BUT eBay will not protect you.
You are a new seller with a high scam item and changed the address per a message.
Good Luck!

Thank you for your detailed advice, it has really helped me make my decision.
I've filed the interception and will wait to see if it's successful. However I do have a few more questions.. I see that if I cancel the order there is a "Final Value Fee" that's deducted from the refund amount, does this mean that the buyer is paying for this fee? For example the item is 200$ there is a 50$ fee and the return total says 150$, does this mean the buyer is getting 150$ refund and will I be responsible for any fees for canceling the order due to "problem with buyer address"?
Also, in the case that the item is not intercepted and delivered and the buyer does not file "item not received", will Ebay still be able to somehow confirm that I did in fact deliver the item and release my funds? Considering that this isn't the label/tracking that Ebay provided and for all they know, I created the label and never actually shipped it, but I did provide the new tracking # on the ebay item.

Don't cancel before the package is returned to you. With the dollar amounts in your example, the buyer would get a $200 refund with $150 coming from you and $50 coming from eBay as a fee credit. This would be a separate transaction from the original. The original payment hold would be released after you refund the buyer through the cancellation.
If it comes down to an item not received situation, it doesn't matter that you added the new tracking number or that you didn't use the original shipping label. All that matters is the address on the package that was delivered and since it does not match the address on the order, you will lose. eBay will not consider the buyer's messages or the delivered status - all they'll do is look to see the address doesn't match and the buyer will be refunded from your account.

Yea I will not cancel yet in the event that the interception doesn't work. From my understanding of your example, they will charge my bank 150$, 50$ will come from Ebay, and I will receive the original payment on hold of 200$? So technically I would gain 50$?
And regarding the other question, what I'm asking is simply if Ebay will in fact release the money to me after the item has been delivered if they do not file "item not received". Assuming that Ebay's system has to confirm that the package has been delivered in order to release the money which I don't know if they'd be able to do since I used another label.

You've received good advice, and I'll add one point for future sales... THE BUYER is the only one who can put the correct address on the order. THE BUYER does this at checkout, so that you have a good address on the eBay shipping label.
NEVER, EVER make changes to the BUYER's order, including to the label. Hang in there... it gets a bit easier.

I will do that now, thank you. Could I void the new shipping label too? the one that i'm paying to intercept
