I sold a Michael Kors purse...complete with photos showing two defects : a strap tear and a blemish. In my description, I said this:
"Michael Kors pre-owned black purse. ALL SALES are FINAL. I've included plenty of photos - that clearly show the two defects on this purse - a tear on a strap and a blemish on the upper right corner."
My buyer - who I should've known was going to be trouble when it took an invoice and a message days apart in order to get her to pay so that I could ship the purse - opened a return and said this:
Her complaint:
Seller stated that strap had tear, but photo showed a slit in the leather, actually the strap is torn and coming apart, I would not have purchased if I had known this. I feel that this item is not as described and wish to return for a full refund, including original shipping and would like a prepaid shipping label in order to do so, thank you.
My reply:
My question is...what happens now? I'm a sporadic seller, so I've never dealt with this before. How would other sellers have reacted - the purse only sold for $31 w/ $13 shipping - the money was on hold while the return was open, but the hold is gone now that the return is closed.
And...am I wrong...or is her stating, "Seller stated that strap had tear...actually the strap is torn" the exact same thing (torn being the past tense of tear).

All sales on eBay are not final. Smart sellers know this. You don’t need to send invoices and payment reminders either; an invoice is sent as soon as the listing ends and automatic payment reminders are sent out every 48 hours. You should remove the “all sales are final” statement from your listing because it’s silly and buyers know they have up to 180 days buyer protection here.
