Buyer issues reflect on my performance

I ship small items so USPS is the best for me 3 days via USPS vs 7 days on UPS. USPS is also lower cost to me as well.

I need to get signature tracking as I ahve had too many lost package claims ZERO with signature tracking. But now a new problem exists the buyers go on holidays (or some other reason) and leave there packages at the post office unsigned for therefore NOT delivered and this reflects on my performance standards.

Oh well back to to longer delivery times on all my listings

Unless you are selling items that are over $750 all you need is delivery confirmation.
Signature confirmation is highly inconvenient for many buyers.

On the other hand, as a buyer I would find that a package with delivery confirmation showing delivered that has been stolen, or misdirected to be greatly more inconvenient .

As a seller always communicate with your buyer as to your buyer's preference .

You can, but it cost more to do this and I don't see that you ship anything that expensive to require signature confirmation, but certainly you can do this if you want to take on the expense.

How exactly is this affecting your "performance standards"?  Be specific, what is it that you are seeing that makes you think your "performance standards" are being affected?

When you have online tracking and an item sits at a PO waiting for the buyer to come in and pick it up, the tracking should be showing that.  As far as Ebay is concerned, you have made delivery.  You can't force the buyer to come to the PO to pick it up.

What is that going to do to help the problems you describe above?  A longer handling time does NOTHING to resolve the issues you have previously described here.
