Buyer gave wrong address for shipping

I received this today from the buyer:

"Hello. I’m sorry for the inconvenience but there was a type-o in the address when I purchased it. It was suppose to be 5459, not 5451. I tried to change the address online so it would get delivered but I couldn’t because it said to put a code sent to my mobile to confirm but it never got sent. I’m not sure but I think its getting sent back to you. My current address is in CT but I want it sent to Puerto Rico. Do I chamge my address back to the one in Puerto Rico or do I send you the correct address via here?"

I replied with:

"The latest tracking information shows:
Sep 29 - Out for Delivery: The carrier attempted to deliver the item.

I will let you know if the item is returned to me."

The original address provided by the buyer via Ebay was in Puerto Rico. What do you guys think I should do?

Wait until the item returns to you, when it does, issue your buyer a refund. Then teach your buyer how to change their address in their eBay account and then repurchase the item if they still want it.

FYI: You would lose any seller protection if you send an item to an address other than what was in the purchase order.

I would refund everything but the shipping charge.   It will cost more to ship to PR anyway especially since ALL rates went up today.
