Buyer does not see the request total option

I suspected this was true when others bought mulitple items without requesting a combined total invoice first.   Maybe this buyer is out of the country?  I am not sure.  Anyhow, has anyone else had this problem and know of an easy fix?  Thanks

OK,  I just saw this from eBay's own instructions:

You can then issue a combined invoice to your buyer. To do this from My eBay:

  1. Go to the Sold section.
  2. Select the items you want to combine into a single invoice.
  3. Add the new shipping charge.
  4. From the Actions menu, select Send Invoice.

To issue a combined invoice from Seller Hub:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So, it looks like they have to first pay and then I make an adjustment, right?   I know that I myself used "request total" for my own purchases in the past few weeks and got the invoice before paying so I am still confused.

  1. Go to Orders.
  2. Check the box beside any orders that need to be combined.
  3. Select Send Invoice for any of the orders selected.

I think if you have "Immediate Payment Required" as an option, the request total is unavailable..

also, there is a part of your preferences where you can say 'no' to combined shipping

If the buyer is using the app the request total button will not appear. Ask them if they are using the app or the website.

Once a buyer pays you cannot send a revised invoice so your interpretation of those help page instructions is incorrect. However, once the buyer pays you can send them a partial refund for the shipping difference if that's easier for both of you.
