Buyer claims item not received but tracking shows it delivered

Hi everyone,

Well, a buyer said he didn't received his purchase and the tracking shows it was delivered.  I clicked on item details (in messages) and added the tracking number for eBay.  Why doesn't it show a closed case?

I’m assuming your buyer opened up an INR (item not received case)… you didn’t mention if they did or not. That case isn’t closed automatically because eBay still requires you go thru the INR claims process regardless if eBay can find out for you.

MAKE SURE you reply to that case with the tracking number uploaded IN THE CASE DETAILS. If you provide the tracking in other areas (like messaging the buyer), the bots will only check the appropriate section for the tracking and nowhere else. If there’s no tracking there, they will likely rule in the buyers favor. So make sure you upload the tracking to the appropriate section in the case.

After about 5 business days, you’ll be able to ask eBay to step in and close the case in your favor. Yes it’s a hassle, but that’s what a lot of eBay is… a hassle.

If the label used was the address the buyer provided, you will be fully covered by and backed by eBay if the buyer decides to open a claim or chargeback.

Then was Is eBay placing a hold on the funds if the label and tracking are correct and shows delivered?
