Buyer change of mind return where do I stand

Hi! So I have a return request from someone that purchased a sports bra, stating it “doesn’t fit” and too small for (insert bra size) on the listing i stated it was size large which was on the label but no dimensions. It was also listed as not accepting returns.

All of my “research” has concluded that eBay will most likely side with the buyer so I should accept, but I really don’t want to as it’s an undergarment so am hesitant to relist or will have to relist at lower price and will lose out on the initial postage fee too so I’m basically paying £3 for the buyer to try it on and then won’t be able to relist.

Just so torn on what to do as I feel like I’m going to get screwed either way.

Did they choose the reason doesn’t fit in the return section?

Doesnt fit is a remorse reason and if that’s what they choose and you have a no return policy you should have a deny button in the return.  If you do accept the return you don’t have to pay return shipping and if original shipping was separate (not free) you don’t have to refund original shipping.

If they filed not as described you might as well accept the return and not fight it though

It says reason: doesn’t fit and in comments: too small for (bra size)

i honestly would I’m just really unsure of the hygiene issues of accepting an undergarment 😕

should I message the buyer and see if they’ll accept the refund on just the item not including the initial postage and they also pay the return and if they accept that just go with that?

That’s a remorse reason then. You should see a decline button on the return.  I wouldn’t message the buyer and ask if they were ok with it.  You don’t accept returns.  Accepting it is already going above your policy.  If you want do that accept the return and then the buyer will have to pay return shipping and if shipping was separate you’ll see the option to refund in full or refund while holding original shipping.  You don’t need the buyers agreement to do that

sadly, yes, you are screwed... I sold a $500 leather skirt for $110.. size 14, buyer said it fit like an 8.. and wanted to return it... the listing said no returns.. she started a case, I proved it was a 14.. and ebay told her to return it... they made me pay the return shipping.... I  got the skirt, it was worn. The whole back of it was all stretched out. I sent pics to Ebay, proving the size, pics of the skirt all stretched out, and they didn't care... took all the fees, shipping, the cost of the skirt right from my account.

Been on ebay since 2005, 100% 1700 plus positive feedback, (she had 14) and they didn't care... how can I continue on ebay, if the don't back me.... thinking I need to rethink things..

NO!!!!  I read your thread and it was an entirely different circumstance.  YOUR buyer opened a NOT AS DESCRIBED return stating that it didn't fit.  The OP's buyer opened a remorse return and she has a no returns policy.... Not the same at all.
