I messed up and shipped the wrong item, that's on me. I immediately approved the return label but the buyer (who wants to return the item and re-purchase the correct one) is having issues printing the return label. This seems to be a growing problem as I've seen posts from other sellers and from buyers that return labels won't generate to print.
Why can't sellers access the eBay generated return label so we can try to send them via messaging when this happens? There needs to be some resolution that doesn't cost the seller even more money to purchase a return label from a 3rd party site at a greater cost.

On the same page to print the return label, there is now a link to send the label to the buyer's eBay email address.
It's super cool because that return label sent by email is an actual PDF file attachment now, instead of a link right back to that eBay page. So the buyer can also login to email at Kinkos or the library, and print the PDF attachment.

When they changed the label format, I had trouble printing the labels until I updated my PDF reader.

That is good to know.
In the past, if a buyer had trouble printing the return label, I would suggest downloading and installing the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader. That way, the buyer could use the Adobe Reader to view/print the label, rather than the browser's reader.

Hi @dtexley3, if a buyer is having trouble printing an eBay label, they can contact Customer Service for help troubleshooting. One of the steps Customer Service may take is to email the buyer a copy of the label. Since there may be some risks present in allowing the seller to access the label and send it over (as this could open the label up to problematic alterations), a seller who is looking to address shipping label issues reported by their buyer should direct the buyer to Customer Service and consider providing a different prepaid shipping label if the buyer is unable to print the eBay label.
