Hello,
Recently a buyer opened a case saying their item was not received.
My funds (for this item), were frozen.
However, I used ebay tracking which said the item was received.
I uploaded the tracking data (which ebay already has), to ebay.
A short time later ebay released my funds.
Question: What happened?
Did ebay refund the buyer?
Will I receive Negative Feedback?
Ebay gave me no details at all.
Thanks Again, bdh1701

What happened is that you won the INR case. Once you upload tracking that shows item was delivered, an INR case is supposed to close automatically in your favor. Be aware that the buyer can still file an "Item not as described" case or even do a CC chargeback if they want to pursue the matter.

Because you provided a tracking number, the case was closed in your favor.
However, this does not prevent the buyer from filing a chargeback or PP dispute, just so you know.

Buyer did not get item or was stolen from there location .
They open an item not received case.
You entered tracking which closed case.
You keep the money.
Now they (the buyer) still have options such as item not as described, or going to their payment system and or credit card.
Just saying.

Or they're lying

In case this is an honest buyer that has never had this happen before, I'd be inclined to message them and tell them what steps they may take in order to try to locate the package.
This may also help you avoid them from rushing to do a chargeback with their credit card company.
It also might help to keep an eBay buyer from leaving the site.

If the buyer filed a INR case out of the blue, then diplomacy is out the door. The OP is not obligated to contact the buyer, in fact, I would not recommend it.

Will I receive Negative Feedback?
To address this ^^^... you may, but if it mentions the INR case, you can have it removed.

Out of the blue??
If an item isn't received and a buyer looks for an answer, they'll be told to file an INR claim.
And no, a seller is never "required" to address the issue.
That was my personal suggestion and depends on what type of seller one is.
I prefer being helpful, if possible.
There's nothing nasty, underhanded or personal about an INR claim.
