i have a brother laser printer...
the simplest one.
been happy so far.
am on my second cartridge which is pretty new; not even 4 months and probably hardly printed 200 pages (most are ebay shipping labels and receipts).
this issue never happened with the first cartridge that came with the printer.
i bought the new one on ebay.
the seller didn't seem to be a "cartridge" seller.
but it was a genuine Brother tn-630 and sealed.
well a few months ago had printed a label.
i noticed something wrong with the barcode; white specks all over.
passed my finger over and the black bars would vanish (partly) as if my finger was an eraser.
well today at the usps noticed the same thing.
as if the black printing was fading, peeling off...
not sure how else to explain it better.
i mean i had all my mailers in plastic bags.
so the labels were rubbing against each other.
but looked fine when i printed them.
could it be the quality of the labels?
i use self adhesive labels that i also buy on ebay.
been buying them for years and never had an issue.
could it be the quality of this new cartridge i bought?
i mean it is a genuine Brother.
perhaps it old/expired?
i just re-printed a label on plain paper.
i did increase the printing quality in my settings.
the label looks fine.
i pass my finger over the barcode and it doesn't smear or erase itself...
has anyone had the issue, i am having?
i wonder if perhaps the self adhesive labels are the issue?
