Bought item from India, shipped via India Post but tracking doesn't work

I bought a set of replica armor from a seller in India almost a month ago now and while they have provided a tracking number it doesn't work at all. The tracking number is as follows...

Tracking #: 2CV234455666IN

Carrier: India Post

The seller isn't replying at all and the tracking number doesn't work. What is going on?

Looks like the receipt number, not the tracking number. Being that your item is US bound, importing metal ware from India is risky, any rust at all and your pieces may have been impounded. Then again it could have been shipped via sea mail, then you're looking at at least 40 days, longer if your'e on the east coast.

Thanks for the info. I have bought many other items from India though and they all arrived. Do items shipped via India Post end up going through USPS?

Yes, unless India Post has offices throughout the US willing to do the deliveries.

Any item shipped from a Post (Foreign) ends up being delivered by the USPS, if the final destination is the US, and vice versa.
