Book without CD Refund

Hi. I bought a book, and it came with no CD. The title said CD included but the listing said no.

They accept returns, but am I responsible for return shipping?

No you aren't responsible for return shipping, its a not as described case.

Do not file a not received case. File a not as described case.

Hello. Respectfully, did you not think to ask the seller which was correct? Also did you contact the seller about it. That CD just may have been left out and the seller has it. Often I have sent messages simply as a heads up to inform a seller that their title and item description conflict with each other. I think it's always a good idea to clarify any discrepancies before making a purchase. Sellers are human (well I think most of us are) and stuff happens. Usually in this case, it would be the result of the seller using a template to list the book. Maybe the last book listed had the CD.

My personal experience with this was purchasing something and when it arrived, whichever description I focused on was the incorrect one, I felt I was as much at fault as the seller. I notified her about it and did not expect a refund. It only had to happen once. Lesson learned.

On the other hand, if I make the mistake as a seller, I would own it and issue the refund. The cost would determine whether I wanted the item returned or not.

Evidently the item was as described.

>>Evidently the item was as described.

It was not. Every piece of information must be correct for an item to be as described (photo info, title, item specifics, and description). 3 out of 4 and it is still SNAD. Seller may have used an incorrect eBay catalog stock description, but is still responsible.

I actually agree with eBay and PayPal on that one. Yeah, yeah, the buyer should read everything or ask, blah, blah, blah, but they don't, so any bit of inconsistency leaves doubt.

However, if everything is consistent and correct, it should never be SNAD, but eBay and PayPal screw that part up.
ie: Title, photos, item specifics, and description all say red widget. Buyer says a red widget was delivered, but wanted a green widget. That is not a SNAD in any rational world, but is in eBayland.

BTW, you need to put your signature lines in the proper signature line place in the forum settings. Some of us choose to not see them, and yours makes an end run around the system.
