Beware of fake shipping numbers

Happened to me more than ones, always from China. Item is not arriving, tracking number is stucked at the "lodged at post office", I ring our local post office and they tell me the tracking number is non-existent.

Some sellers don't send anything and simply wait, hoping the buyer will forget or react too late for refund.

Some of them will offer re-sending the item but never send it, meaning buyer is out of buyer protection window.

Some will even offer partial refund claiming it's not their fault it got lost in the post 🙂

So my advice is: always use use Ebay case when letting buyer know the item didn't arrive within 30 days. It'll be on record.

Also, never ever accept re-sending. Chances of getting the item are extremely low. First get refund and buy it again.

I'm writing this just because I think another seller is trying to scam me with fake tracking and it's been 29 days.

Cheers

Beware of fake shipping numbers

I had a package mailed by China Post in March: Received by CP, then nothing for *forty days*. Seller refunded, and it hit customs about 10 days later.  I resent payment, of course.

It is completely possible that your package was one of the first into the shipping crate, and CP doesn't send it out til it's full, so don't panic if there are loooong delays between updates.

USPS is giving incorrect information by implying the number doesn't exist: Just because CP hasn't handed it over to USPS yet doesn't mean the number is invalid.

Beware of fake shipping numbers

Quit buying any thing from sellers in China years ago.   The primary reason was the  quality of product  received, the price was  very cheap &  found out why.  Wasn't worth the effort to return the  items.  Live & learn.

I got a refund. So right away I bought another one but this time from an Aussie seller located here (apparently). Looking at my Paypal, the payment went exactly to the same guy as the first one! So what's going on here? Also looking at his other items for sale, there is nothing there for sale. How bizarre. Trying to report this to Ebay and Ebay can't find the item number to make the report on. So who knows what's Ebay doing but it doesn't give me much confidence in buying anything at all now, local or overseas.

Fake Tracking Number! Cheating devil! He doesn't answer the letter.
Ebay is the paypal writer, not doing anything.
There is no buyer protection as advertised.
Can't you simply report fraud?
Look forward to paypal dispute resolution in progress, one month waiting.
The announcement is hidden, who does not speak English or slightly leaves it all. Fraudsters know exactly how small customers do nothing.
I would appreciate the Ebay experience for a star!
