I just had a very ignorant customer from Austria.  I accepted his offer and ebay calculated the shipping, which being sent to another country and be quite pricey.  I have gotten 4 emails from him during the last 1/2 hour calling me a cheat and claiming the shipping price was fraudulent.  He tried to convince me that shipping a heavy French Provincial phone cost no more than $12. to ship from the US to Austria!  Heck, it costs more than that to send it one state over!  After his 4th  email I informed him that I cancelled his order and if he persists on harassing me I will report him as a "Hostile" customer to ebay.  I just needed to vent but wondered how many others have dealt with such a rude and ignorant customer.

It's a learning curve for sure. Hang in there.

He just keeps sending me horrible emails.  I reported him to ebay but he has written to tell me he wrote ebay calling me a Cheat and Fraudulent Seller and has threatened to contact anyone bidding on my auctions telling them I am a crook!  This can sure sour you on what should be a decent transaction.

Have you considered the blocked bidder list after you cancel the order? And check the box that says you don't want to communicate with this person.

He can't contact any of your bidders because Ebay scrambles the user IDs to all except the seller.

Put his name on your block list https://www.ebay.com/bmgt/BuyerBlock?  so he can't buy from you again.

Since you've had a transaction with him, he can still contact you. You can feel free to ignore him. Don't even bother reading his messages, and certainly don't respond.

You said you reported him, but you didn't say how.  If you didn't already, report him here  https://spd.ebay.com/RBASellerHub  for harassment/abusive behavior.

The easier you are to offend the easier you are to control.
