I recently shipped a heavy package via Ebay shipping. After entering the weight and measurements, I looked at the Ebay options. I saw the total for FedEx shipping offered through Ebay was about half what was quoted at the FedEx site.
Ebay shipping note after their quote: "40% discount"........well WOOPEE! I thought, 'Nice!'
Package label run off at Ebay and package dropped off at FedEx. BingoBango.... easy peasy!
Package delivered and buyer is thrilled.
Today I get a notice that 40% I saved when I bought the label has now been charged by Ebay to my credit card. Yup! No explanation other than some gobbledegook' surcharge list and a suggestion that somehow I should have been charged more at the start.
This is insanity and I've never had this happen in all the years I've dealt on Ebay. So just a warning. Beware. Go to the FexEx site and do your labeling. Save yourself a lot of shock and disappointment.
THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE and we have little or no recourse.
