Any suggestions how to mail a large framed piece of art?

Any suggestions for the best way to ship large framed art? I was thinking of selling a large framed artwork that's about 3 feet by 2 feet. FEDEX would cost a couple hundred bucks, which seems nuts. To anyone here who regularly sells large framed art or prints, is there a service you'd recommend? Are they all equally expensive?

you should create business account with ups and use label via ups, ups website does not force sellers to put dimensions for irregular packages where ebay force sellers to do so. by this way you can save cost otherwise . hope its help. UPS and amazon do not force sellers to print label with dimensions for irregular packages. if you print labels on ebay website it will cost you so much, and ebay has to understand if other tech giant allow sellers to print packages without dimensions for big irregular size items then ebay should do too else in future ebay will loose sellers and selling. there is always one door open in any difficulty. only we need to find a way .

Why not list it as local pickup only?

How thick is it because that seems a bit high.

I ship those old sofa sized lithos for around $65-90 and all I do is wrap them in about 5 layers of cardboard and sandwich tape the ends. They end up only being about 4" thick.
