Hi and thank you for your help in advance! I sold item abc to customer abc on day 123. Customer xyz bought item xyz on day xyz that was 5 days later from day 123. I did not pay attention to the name and address on shipping label xyz. Customer abc notified me that it received it's item on time but a few days later it also received item xyz. When selecting labels to print ebay does not give me an option to print another label other than a current one from a current purchase. I do not sell many items. I don't even think I know how to go back 6 days to reprint a shipping label for abc instead of for xyz. They are two different items too. Help! Both customers were very kind and understanding but I did refund the money for xyz and pay the shipping cost for abc to mail the item back to me. Any idea how this happened? I will definitely look at the shipping labels from now on!

Look on the Label Management screen and verify that both buyer ID's appear.
http://my.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?MyEbayBeta&CurrentPage=LabelManagement
Look on your All Orders screen and click on the tracking numbers.
Do both buyers have one tracking number?
Does buyer ABC have two tracking numbers?

You did not say if you print the labels directly or else create PDF files.
With the timing of 5 days, it sounds more like a mix up with the PDF's.
If it is any consolation, I have had my share of label mistakes.

To avoid problems in the future, always print your labels using AWAITING SHIPMENT. If you already printed a shipping label, that sale will not be displayed again, so you avoid printing another label for a buyer who you have already printed a label for.

Thank you for your help! I'm just trying to understand what happened. Buyer ABC has two separate confirmation numbers showing two different boxes that were sent to him. The second box that was sent to him 5 days later was supposed to go to XYZ. The second box has a different confirmation number from the first package. I print my own labels from the "Awaiting Shipment" notification message which is why I cannot understand how a label from a previous customer, a completed sale from 5 days ago, how ABC's address would suddenly pop up or print when I print from the notification straight to my printer. Obviously the final error is mine because I did not check the label before I used it. I am checking them now. But was wondering if it was possible if it was something someone else has come along and had.

I ALWAYS wait for that notification before I print the label. That is why I can't understand how the address from a completed sale 5 days earlier could print again. Those addresses are wiped from the "active" screen where you can reprint a label, print a packing slip or reprint a label. I agree that the older sale should not be displayed again and I honestly don't remember if it was displayed or not. I know the error had to be mine. Thank you for your wisdom!!

I too have had the same issue!
I sold a single item to Customer A in Canada and shipped it May 28th.
I sold a different single item to Customer B in Canada and shipped it June 3rd, I distinctly remember this because, they wanted two, but I only had one and shipped that one out.
Customer A receive a package for Customer B! Working with Customer A, they were kind enough to forward it to Customer B. Customer A has been completely refunded for all the troubles and extra shipping, as their package has still not arrived.
Customer C, in Germany, bought two similar but different items on June 15th. And again Customer A, in CANADA, was the recipient of this package!! Working with Customer A, they were able to look at the original shipping label and it was directed to him, from May 28th, for half the weight of two items!! How is Ebay reprinting older labels?
I am unable to 'reprint' a label after 5 days have passed. It seems to me that somewhere the software is retaining previous data and regurgitating it. I have had zero problems shipping items myself direct to customers. I was hoping Ebay Intl Shipping would save time and money for the customers.
