Whichever smart alec suggested centralised eBay delivery is slowing down the already tortoise speed eBay speed. And eBay jolly well work on your customer service, what if within delivery date seller do not response and you are uncontactable?
I paid up almost immediately on 19th July
Item number 122596188756
Shipping service USPS First Class Package (what kind of first class is that)
my address is in Portland Oregon.
Even from outer space, Moon would have arrived long ago. I dun even have a tracking number and the expected arrival date is 28th July. What kind of joke is this? Even if now is the era of the 19th century would have arrived.

Sounds like it had personal information in the post and that's why they removed it.
The priority package took longer because it was going to another country and because it went through gsp which means it had to get delivered in tbe US get processed through the gsp center and then get forwarded onto you.
First class can be slower depending on mail volume and you have to take into consideration a sellers handling time.
The two taking too long for your idea of shipping is actually unrelated to why it took them that long. Two different services going to two different places in totally different ways. They aren't comparable situations

Here's the thing - I have had packages get from Washington DC to AUSTRALIA in TWO DAYS but never a package within the US move in less than a week. The decision to upgrade from First Class to Priority is strictly the weight. It will not arrive one second earlier regardless of what you use. I have had items go from Virginia to Maryland the state right next door (literally a 20 minute drive from my house) by way of OREGON - on the other side of the country and adding 2 weeks to the delivery time. I have had items go from DC to Texas in 3 days then sit at the local PO for nearly a month before somebody bothered to put it on a truck and actually take it to the buyer's house. The complaint about delivery time shouldnt be about the SELLER - who often ships same day or even 20 minutes after payment - but about the postal system itself. Even they admit that their advertised "2-3 day delivery" is more realistically "3-5 days" but they arent going to advertise that because it sounds like a long time compared to other more expensive shipping services with considerably less volume to deliver.
And since you mention Amazon, consider the folks who live out in the boonies (farm country, small remote towns, islands, etc). They are probably NOT getting next day delivery from Amazon but are thrilled with the 3-5 day they get. There will always be a delay the farther you are from a big town with a big post office or shipping (truck or train or air) hub.

Your seller lists 5-9 days delivery. Sold on July 19. It's your seller, not ebay. In my opinion the seller is suspect; no feedback, only 2 expensive items listed, no tracking.
I didn't read all the responses because it got way off track but I saw the one where your seller said "My buddy sent it to the wrong address it's gone."
That's it?! That's lame!
Did they refund you? If not, file a item not received claim.

I googled USPS mail to Mars and got zero results.
It's not relevant to your OP
