Hello,
I recently purchased an Iphone 6 from a seller who claimed the phone was in great condition. I offered a lowball expecting them to decline, yet they accepted. Not wanting to be declined the request to withdraw the offer, I paid and the phone was shipped to me. Upon recieving the phone I noticed that the battery capacity was incredibly low. I figured that extra features were draining it and since it was inaccessable to decided to activate the phone (which cost 60$). I tweaked the phone a bit, disabled every feature that contributed to battery drain and even kept it in Low Power Mode at all times. Yet, the phone still dies in 6 hours even when not being used! I messaged the seller, they apologized and offered me a partial refund around 30$ less than the original price. I noticed that the Ebay notification said I didn't have to return the item. Even though the seller offered the partial refund with the expectation that the phone would be returned (though we never explicitly agreed upon this), am I obligated to return the phone? I'm sure a case will be opened with Ebay anyway yet I'd like to hear some feedback.

With a partial refund, you do not have to return the item as ebay told you.
If the seller wants the phone back, she must pay return shipping by sending money to your Paypal account so that you can purchase a return label.

Use the $30 for this https://support.apple.com/iphone/repair/battery-power
Or do what I did. I threw my iphone away and got a blackberry...never looked back.

Hi @absurher0, when you say you "messaged" the seller --
did you unknowingly start a "return request" instead, like this:

ne word
"NO" you do not return any item on a partial refund

Ok thank you. I just wanted to clarify since I expect a case to be opened.

Okay. I expect the seller does this when offering a full refund? Otherwise I would have to cover the cost of shipping as well zzzz

I actually plan on doing this if all is well. If the phone still gives me trouble I'll definitely consider Blackberry or Android ty.
