I sold an item on ebay, shipped it Dec 16th. The buyer wanted me to ship international but I said no, they purchased it anyways and put in the address of a friend/family member in Califronia.
I recieve an email from the buyer, they did not enter the apartment number and it was undeliverable. They tried saying i didn't enter the correct information, but I showed them they did not include the apartment number. They asked if once I get it back could I mail it again and they'd pay for shipping, I said no and have done everything through ebay to cover my end.
I spoke to ebay and they said I could not adjust the address, I'd have to wait till i get it back, post it for sale again, and the buyer would have to re-purchase.
It is now January 21st and it is still being sent back and forth from my state to theirs. After the second incident I called my local post office and they claimed that it was being sent back to me as they could see it was in my state but yet they sent it right back.

You may never see it again.
I shipped an item to a buyer in Tennessee back in July; but USPS stated that the address was nonexistent, and that the item was being returned to me.
I contacted the buyer, as soon as I received the notice from USPS.
Crickets.
It's January -- 6 months later -- and I'm still waiting -- both for USPS and the buyer.
But -- on the brighter side -- not word one from the buyer's credit card company.
Such is life.

ok, I have spoken to eBay and I have spoken to USPS personally.
USPS told me that it is stuck in a loop, that if the buyer wants the package, which the buyer has stayed in contact, they will need to call their local USPS office in California and pay to have it redirected to the correct address. It sounds like it is out of my hands and now the buyers' responsibility.
Honestly, the past two times I have shipped something through eBay I have had issues.
