Is there a way to dispute an adjusted shipping fee? My buyer paid for shipping for 6 pounds. When we packaged the shipment, we decided to double box it. We reweighted it and it was 8 pounds. Today I received an adjustment to my shipping fees and they said it was 33 pounds. Any help would be appreciated.

Adjusted shipping fees come from the USPS and you can always dispute the charge. If you have a copy of your shipping label, or if you can still reprint it, showing the weight of 8 pounds will help you. It is highly unlikely USPS will offer you a refund, the system is automated and takes a while. Still, nothing ventured nothing gained. Best of luck to you....

How large was the box that you finally used? If it was over 1 cubic foot (i.e., 1728 cubic inches) then the shipping cost would be based on the "dimensional weight" rather than on the scale weight. For instance, an 18-inch cube ships at the 36-pound rate. There are also surcharges for length over 22 inches.

Hi @sl_noble .
1. What carrier did you use?
2. What package dimensions did you enter when generating the label?
3. What does the carrier claim were actual package dimensions?
Here's a handy reference on dimensional weight:

If you entered dimensions when you purchased the label that were smaller than the actual dimensions, that could easily result in the cost adjustment after the fact.
