ATTENTION   SELLERS using the eBay international standard delivery

Why the eBay international standard delivery is charging more for the shipping label!?

I shipped something small (7.4 oz) internationally by using eBay international standard delivery to France. It was supposed to cost me $16.00 for 8 oz and that is what I paid when I purchased the shipping label and sent out the package on Dec 27, 2024. 2 weeks later, I was charged $23.00 for that shipping label.

Post office Clerks always check all the packages to make sure the price and weight and size is accurate. I have a receipt from post office for that item, which shows the weight was confirmed as 7.4 oz.

Here other cases (under 8 oz)   that I noticed after I shipped the items using the eBay international standard delivery:

1) Dec 2, 2024 - 7.4 oz - $15.00 to Sweden charged me $23.00

2) Sep16, 2024 - 7.8 oz - $15.00 to Poland charged me $23.00

I am sure there are more cases which I can find if needed. I have the receipts from USPS to prove them. I contacted the eBay Customer Service via INSTAGRAM. NO response from them. Where is the eBay Customer service? What’s going on?

Thank you,

You should consider using the EIS program. I encourage you to read about it and decide for yourself if it will work for you. It takes almost all the risk for international shipping off the sellers.

Feel free to come back and ask for advice on what to do.
