AMAZING HOW EBAY CHARGES SELLERS FOR ITEMS THAT DON'T SHOW UP IN FOREIGN COUNTRIES

Is there any way to track an item small item shipped first class, or even USPS Priority overseas?  For the most part, NO, that option is not included.

But when an item, sent to an address overseas *supposedly* doesn't show up, Ebay sides with the buyer and takes my hard earned money automatically out of my Paypal account, for an item I legitimately paid for, sold, and shipped to the customer — I have never ever tried to scam a customer, and my feedback shows it.

Sellers CANNOT TRUST EBAY to be on their side in almost ANY dispute.  If an overseas mailing service loses your item, TOO BAD FOR YOU, EBAY WILL CHARGE YOU FOR THE LOST ITEM.  Not only did they take the money from my Paypal account without trying to contact me once personally... they also LOWERED MY EBAY RATING!!

The item was shipped to the address indicated.  I have the shipping receipt and sent a photo of it to the customer to prove it, BUT EBAY STILL DIDN'T CARE. Who knows if the buyer recieved the item?  Is there any proof at all?

Thanks Ebay.  I will happily look for a place that protects everyone, Sellers and Buyers alike for all my future sales.

I had  no problem finding other venues to sell my items.   Ebay is  no longer the only game in town.

There were also no problems finding other venues to shop.

I've had items shipped to me [International destination] via USPS  that I've 'tracked' with 'signed for' with your notification of delivery 'out'.

So why didn't you @lallarook send this item in a way that you could have too?

If you don't have tracking, how do you know it arrived?  For all you know they buyer DIDN'T get it. Customs could have stopped it for some reason. It could have gotten lost. Why immediately jump to OMG THIS BUYER IS LYING?

How would you feel if this happened to you? If you paid for an item that never arrived and the seller didn't want to refund you? Would you want your money back? Of course you would.

I have had items not show up and yes, I got my money back. I had one package show up a month AFTER getting my money back and I paid the seller again. Not all buyers are bad.

What venue can you sell on where you could keep a buyers money if they claimed not to have received something and you had no proof of delivery?

I highly doubt that you had no contact from eBay about a case being opened against you. I suspect what happened is you try to fight the case and lost and that's what lower your seller rating.

Also one or two cases without seller resolution is all it takes to sink a small account.

Yes, I think eBay doesn't care about the seller. I have noticed that they took out my return policy and switched to this:

If your buyer returns this item because the item is not as described in the listing, you’ll be charged return shipping on your seller invoice as a fee, which may be charged to your automatic payment method on file, if any.

Some buyers can always use "not as described" to return the items that you don't like. I am thinking to go to other online businesses too.

SAME!!! The buyer opened not received case- despite the fact that this usps tracking shows "in transit", not to metion there was no ETA given for the package... Plus, i use ebay shipping labels in which tracking automatically uploads but yet i have to re-upload it! I sent this item same day buyer paid, obviously indicated on tracking, not to metion i have almost perfect rating, have had no "real" issues, besides shady buyers where issues were easily resolved. what ANGERS me the MOST is the IMMEDIATE hold on the money in my account!!! Like **bleep** eeven the screwed up US court systems at least say you're innocent until proven guilty!! Does ebay not realize that any buyer could pull a slick one if they see the tracking not update as delivered despite it being delivered and think hmmmm let me open case and get $ back! im not saying the buyer in my case did that but who knows! And all customer service could tell me was that i should file a case with USPS for refund?!?!? SERIOUSLY?? they are even more of a joke that ebay in regards to claims and refunds!! im so sick of ebay kissing buyers butts and screwing over honest hardworking selllers when us sellers are the ones making them money!!! i cannot wait until my son starts school so i can find a normal job and give up on making money here!!

forgot to mention this is an interntional sale to lima peru, and in my experience international shipping tends to take a bit longer than expected

Every country is different.  However, if you are careful,  shipping international is safe.

I wonder how would you feel if you bought an item, paid for it and item did not show up and tracking shows nothing. I am pretty possitive that you will not be happy and would want your money back.

If item is lost then obviously someone have to loose on this deal. Who should it be?

If you had such shipping service, make claim of 'lost article' against the shipping provider - USPS.

Hopefully the item value + shipping cost + ebay fee is fully [not limited by claim amount] covered.

No reparations for your time and angst.

Good luck.

i was shipping quite a few items to lima peru over 100.00 each time, seems every other item turned up missing, so i had to refund the buyer

all packages were to the same buyer

when the buyer purchased from me recently i charged like 35.00 to be able to track the package and have proof of delivery. package didn't go missing like all the others
