A query regarding a delayed item

Hello, I recently bought an item that was shipped from Charlotte, NC to the Global Shipping Center at Erlanger, KY. This leg of the journey was done by USPS. On Friday February 9, it was processed at the Global Shipping Center and handed over to Fedex who took it to their facicility at Hebron, KY. Their last entry reads "Left Fedex Origin Facility." I have now received two emails from USPS saying my parcel is delayed and on its way to Erlanger as of February 10 and again today. This is AFTER they had delivered it to the Global Shipping Center and Fedex had taken over with the handling. Are they telling me after the fact that the parcel was delayed or that they were taking it back from Fedex at Hebron to Erlanger for some reason?

Sounds like USPS is confused.

@jimmyabbott2046 Is the tracking time stamp the same for these daily USPS updates? It could be their automated updates posting when they shouldn't. If the FedEx portion is showing movement you can probably ignore what the USPS updates are saying.

All good now. I've got my item even though it still reads "delayed" somewhere between Hebron and Erlanger, Kentucky with USPS.
