8/26/23 Pirate Ship / eBay API error

Heads up to anybody using Pirate Ship labels today:

"Ebay's API began returning errors today around midnight UTC. Because of this issue, Pirate Ship is unable to automatically mark orders as Shipped in Ebay and attach the tracking number for any orders you Import from Ebay. We've confirmed that the issue is not coming from Pirate Ship, informed Ebay's support, and are waiting for them to resolve the problem. In the meantime, you can manually mark your Ebay order as Shipped & copy/paste the tracking number from Pirate Ship."

Yes, the problem just started this morning.  Hopefully ebay will have it fixed quickly, only I wouldn't hold my breathe, but continue to check to make sure you don't need to do it manually.

Thank you for this heads up. I just realized an order is in awaiting shipment.

I just noticed the same thing, I'm having to manually mark the orders as shipped and import the tracking number myself. I hope they get this resolved soon as this is a must-have feature for me.

I doubt eBay will address before regular business hours tomorrow. I get alerts for all Pirate down time, maintenance and issues so I will get an email when it's resolved. But you can check this issue directly on the incident status page if you're not signed up to receive updates:

Thank you!  Still not working as of Mon. 8/ 28   1 : 10 AM EST.    Had to add manually as others.   Thankfully, I just had my worst sales weekend in 17 yrs..  So, not a lot of work.  Sales way up on other sites and tracking number are all be exported there so I am grateful for these little things in life  😂

Appears to be working ok again as of 8/28/23 at 11am EST.

Around 3:15 am PT today Pirate Ship sent out the following update:

"Ebay informed us that the issue was resolved on their end as of today. We can confirm that orders are being marked as shipped and tracking numbers are being populated as expected."

Sellers will have to manually enter tracking for PS labels purchased Saturday, Sunday or in the early hours this morning to avoid a hit to their "tracking uploaded on time and validated" rating.
