Chinese text appears in Checkout

This is what I see when I approach the Checkout page:

最高折扣 $50 的优惠券
The terms and conditions are mentioned first in Chinese, then in English.
I was hoping not to use a gift card for a purchase, as all debit and credit card options are locked.
Is there something behind the scenes that could make the Chinese phrases go away?

I use both Firefox and Google Chrome.  Thanks so much.

@petencharlie ,

You should not be seeing Chinese characters on an ebay.com listing.  The message translated is

"Coupons with discounts up to $50".  Something tells me that this is a scam listing of some kind.  If you post the ebay item number maybe we can tell you what to do or not to do.

"THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS FOOLPROOF, BECAUSE FOOLS ARE SO DARNED INGENIOUS!" (unknown)

I saw something like this the other week when I clicked on a listing as well I think it was something to do with a coupon. I thought it odd and backed out.

I had to perform some brief changes on the cart, but once I chatted with a customer service agent online--all was good.  The Chinese letters were replaced by the normal checkout language.

I texted with a representative, and they helped navigate me to the proper areas in the shopping cart.  The Chinese characters that I originally mentioned went away.  Thanks for the feedback.
