I had a buyer that bought a purse and left a vmail about calling her and letting her know if i had another color(which i don't). From what i read you don't contact a buyer only contact them on ebay.
Thanks

If you are uncomfortable in calling the buyer back, simply send them an email from Ebay and answer their questions. Then add that you only communicate with your customers through Ebay. That usually will resolve the issue.

HI, yes this vmail is from an older lady that loved the purse i sold to her and she was wondering if I had another one in a different color. I've been on here for a couple months now and yes when I started I had ppl would buy an item then ask me to call or text them something stupid about the item so then I would have to wait til I could cancel the transaction. After I got a couple good reviews from ppl I haven't gotten anymore. This lady sounded real and sincere.

Maybe she was and maybe she wasn't. Con artists can sound quite sincere, that is one of the ways they can scam so many people.
It simply is not in your best interest to take ANY communication off Ebay. You can take that advice to heart or not, that of course is your decision to make. But you should be aware that this is a big no no on this site and it is a breach of the selling rules. If Ebay catches you doing it, you can be sanctioned and even lose your selling privileges on the site.
How did you get reviews from PayPal?
Buyers can use Paypal, but when selling you can not. You are required to use Managed Payments when selling.

When I buy something from a seller, I'm not given their phone number and don't care to have their number. Just another privacy issue!
Many times I will receive a Invoice self generated by the seller (not eBay) and it will have their Web Site, eMail, Phone Number and Address or could simply be a Business Card with the info.

The buyer's phone is available to sellers, but the buyer cannot see the seller's so the question is how the buyer got the seller's number.

If you know the seller from a previous sale you could also try to look up their phone number.

You can call her if you want to. She called you & you were in a transaction together. There's no reason you can't call her.
What you cannot do is call her out of the blue as a solicitation.
