can anyone tell me """where are all the ebay buyers"" this year is by far the worse in 10 years on ebay and if it continues much longer i might have to call it quits after 10 years as fees are high and fees on shipping charges ruins sellers chances of selling items as we have to charge more to cover the fees they take--is anyone else suffering with lack of sales but putting the same or more effort everyday on ebay in order to make sales

I didn't check to see what you sell, but in the categories in which I search, rarely is anything of interest offered for sale. That is because the rare and expensive items I'd be looking for are simply not offered on ebay by smart buyers any longer - those sellers know that the more valuable something is, the more likely that they will be robbed by a buyer. They choose to sell those items elsewhere.
About the only time something that would be of interest to me gets listed is when seller doesn't know what they have - that is, it's a rare and/or valuable piece, but they are not aware of this. Perhaps it was something found at a garage sale and they list it not knowing what it really is, or part of an family estate that's being cleaned out, or similar. Something they paid little or nothing for and they're just throwing it on ebay with a low starting price in the hopes they'll get a few bucks for it.
Those kind of hidden gems do turn up once in a great, great while, and when they do, the people with the big money provide stiff competition for each other with the common collectors watching from the sidelines. Even if I was lucky enough to land one of these special items, it's only a once-in-a-great-while type of event. The rest of the time, I simply browse but never buy.
So, that's where this buyer is...just looking...looking...looking...looking..........

Whoops, I should have said, "the rare and expensive items I'd be looking for are simply not offered on ebay by smart SELLERS any longer".

Please bear in mind - that sometimes Ebay message system doesn't wotk - also some people in the summer will take a 4 day weekend and not put their store on vacation if they've extended their handling time - so that may be a reason a seller doesn't get back to you.

Most use a posting id. That accounts for the no sales you are seeing.
This is to protect their business from those who may not like what they have said.

I stopped buying a while back because it was too hard and time consuming. Nothing was working, like the BIN button, or checkout. I can only assume others have experienced the same issues as me and hit the BIG back button right off the site. Plus I can no longer find any of the items I'm interested in, on eBay. I buy antiques and collectibles and those types of sellers aren't listing on eBay like they use to, so I have go where those sellers are now.
