not my item but people turn to me because I used to sell.
a fairly common shirt, not Chanel or Balenciaga etc etc....
the bidding started at 24.00 and is up to $300
the seller is freaking out. She is also pretty sure that someone is playing a game?
I have no advice!

The link isn't working, probably because of the comma at the end.

I have seen this kind of thing before, bids that are way out of line with what the item is actually worth, and I have no idea who or why they do it, but you can be sure that whoever wins is not going to pay.

no links....the auction is still live but I am not posting it on here...am I even allowed to do that??

Tell them not to worry to much. If they pay ship it. If not they get a strike. Best regards

yeah, we are 99.9% positive the little bidders are not going to pay.
whats also weird is this person ( my friend) has bids on every single thing listed...
she is very lit up on the ebay board.
she basically sells used clothing and various other things...lists some things BIN and sells them within hours....what?? is that??

Beginners luck?
I assume the other sales you're talking about are all legitimate? If so, what's the issue there? Haha.

Certainly; it's relevant to the topic, and it's hard to be much more helpful or specific without looking at the listing in question. (It's also entirely possible that there is something rare or distinctive about it that you may not have recognized, but which knowledgeable bidders have spotted.)

And I'm sure this goes without saying, but make sure your friend opens up the unpaid item case as soon as possible.
People need to learn ebay is not a game or a children's toy and a few UPI's will have this buyer out of luck after not too long.

I'd love to see her items and the one in question! We know a lot about clothing over here! 🙂

No reason to worry. If they are sport bidding, open the UPI at 48 hrs, close at 96, get your fees back and give the "buyer" a strike.
If not, be sure you have the money in PP and are ok to ship before doing so.

it ended at $300 even....
I am reluctant to post the id number as I don't have the sellers permission.
there is another top/jumper out there.....that has a BIN of $355
the sellers says this is a "prototype"
what ever that means....
I'm gonna ask my friend if they paid

A prototype is a model of an item that the company has before production.
I've seen the term in collectibles, and I understand that generally it applies to machines. Sometimes the prototype is changed before production. I have seen prototypes that may be placed as an ad pre production, to generate sales, with a caveat that this is not the finished design. I bought something like that once and they changed the item when it went into production.
I have some prototypes.
Prototypes may be worth more than a production item due to their scarcity.
I am not familiar with clothing but I suppose it could be used for clothing, too, pre production.

buyer paid immediately
hopefully all is well that ends well
Maybe this will be a happy ebay story.
