Re: what does ''active content mean

I had to google it, but here's what I found. Any of this going on? Good luck.

Active content is code hidden in documents and websites that enhance the end-user experience. Active content in files includes macros, add-ins, and OLE files. On a website, active content can be design elements, like GIFs, short videos, or drop-down boxes.

Thanks. It doesn't make any sense as I am listing a bunch of old paper ads and have had no problems with those. I will just start over.

Re: what does ''active content mean

Are you coping anything from another site and pasting in your description?

Some times that'll add stuff in the HTML that isn't allowed.

Have a great day.

Re: what does ''active content mean

Look at the HTML view on your description - you might be able to see what's going on there.

IAC, the problem with active content is that it enables scripts that can potentially become a security risk, such as an .ole file (Object Linking and Embedding) so they're disallowed.

@vilanobeachseller

Are you talking about your description?  If so are you trying to copy and paste it?  If you are, clear the field completely and then try just typing it and with nothing that is copied.  See if that works.  Or if it doesn't, come back and tell us more.

A screen shot of the error message would be helpful too.
