views on a scheduled item before it is listed

I seem to be getting views before item is listed. Is some on on E-bay pre-viewing? Not on all items but seems to be on "hot items".

either 'bot views (search engines) or "glitches".

It used to be that every time a seller opened his or her own item the counter added another view.  I think this was changed  a couple years ago so we wouldn't click up our views intentionally like I used to.

It is bots checking to make sure you are OK to sell those hot items. Many try cheating the system so Ebay must verify before going active.
