views count

Why does the number of views sometimes decrease? I list my items for 30 days. In the active selling list,  the number of views and watchers is notated under each item. I've noticed that sometimes during the 30 days of a listing,  the number of views decreases. I don't understand why or how this can happen. That number should stay the same or increase, not decrease. Of course number of watchers could decrease, but not number of views. Is this an ebay glitch?

Re: views count

Ebay clears out "bots" that view your item.  i.e. a search bot etc.

Re: views count

The views  are on a 30 day path.

Today is January 16 and your Views would be from December 17 to January 16 (December has 31 days).

If you had fewer Views on Dec18 than on Dec 17, and no Views on Jan17, the Views would drop.

And as mentioned, only "real " views are counted, bots, including eBay's own bots, are not.

Re: views count

Hay,  been happening more lately.  My theory is that the decrease is folks getting NARU'd.

Re: views count

So views aren't counted for the duration of the 30 day listing but rather for the last 30 days?

@lafingwaters

That means No Longer A Registered User. When I first arrived here, I had to keep a window open just to ID acronyms.
