After around 20 years of selling on ebay I just had my first VERO takedown it was a USB keyboard controller for PS2 listed as new open box.

It was listed on 2/15/17. It is the only one that I had.

Violation of the "parallel import policy" was listed as the reason for the Vero takedown.

Never heard of it.

Did you offer international shipping?  Some brands won't let their stuff be sold in some other countries, that's what the parallel import thing is.

Someone who knows this kind of thing better can explain in more detail.

Parallel imports are tricky, a few countries do have strict laws against them that can be used by manufacturers.

And of course there are always the false infringement claims which are rampant. Unfortunately even if eBay were to agree in principle that there shouldn't be a problem they will take the same action for a bogus claim and they will for a legal claim. It's the only way for eBay to maintain their safe harbour position.

A Google search reveals that Logitech (right or wrong) are quite active at trying to control the trans-shipment of their products.

I had the thing for sale for almost 5 years and  it never sold. Odd that it took them 5 years?

Would this of been the same for a used item?
