I'm going to call @mr_lincoln for help since he made a flow chart, but anyone please feel free to post.
I have been working on a variation listing for the last hour and just can't get it to work. I am getting the error message 'missing name in the variation specifics or variation specific sets'.
My variation is character. I have 5 variations. I have typed all of this in numerous times, added pictures, UPC codes, price, etc. I still get the same error. I would show it to you, but now I get the spinning circle of death and cannot even edit my draft.
HELP!
I used one of my old variation listings from before the new tool. I FINALLY got it to work, but couldn't get it to work with creating a new listing. What am I missing? Variation wasn't even part of the flow. Where is it hiding? I have made this listing before, as it is a holiday item so I know the category supports it.
I have yet to actually create a listing with variations but played around with it a little the other day. I am not quite sure I understand what you mean by your variation is "Character" ...
@monica-sells it finally worked so it was a variation category. I think you are right...just missed something with the new format. I just kept starting over. It took 6 times! I will revisit this listing in my sleep tonight!!
It is one of the preselected options. I true making it something else with no luck. Finally left it with character and it worked. I hated variation listings before!
