variation listing images gone when editing

Each time when I revise the stock of my variation listing, it automatically changes the image option from "by option" to "by default photo", then all my image for each option is gone!! I encounter this problem starting from this week. Anyone can help? I don't want to upload all the images each time when I revise the stock number.

ARe you using bulk revise?  think I've seen some complaints about that with it....

I assume desktop, not mobile?

not bulk revise. just simply click the revise via desktop browser.
Actually, it seems not only me get this problem. I have found this thread who met the same problem too. No answer is found yet...
