Hi - I don't have an Ebay Business, just a personal account. Can I use twitter to point to my listing?
Thanks,
Mike

Yes, you can. Just click on the Twitter icon (upper right hand corner of the listing page).

I have been thinking about this also.
BUT do I have to upload them one at a time or is there any kind of a bulk listing so I can do a bunch all at once.
The same for Facebook, Pinterest, etc.
More importantly, is there any evidence that it is worth the trouble? Does it actually generate sales?

I've wondered about that myself. I assume it depends on how many people you have following you. For Facebook, personally I wouldn't bother because everyone I have friended on there are people I actually know. A few of my friends are in MLM sales and I always completely ignore those posts.
As for Twitter, I have maybe five friends from real life, and then a couple hundred randos who just followed me when I either tweeted something to a celebrity or news station or when I did a twitter game (such as using a trending hashtag, such as #whenIwasyoungIthought) so that might be a little more effective. If you were able to get a very large following I suppose it couldn't hurt. Oh, and Gerald Casale, fouding memeber of Devo follows me. I'm so proud of that lmao. Don't think he'd want to buy what I'm selling, nevermind the fact that he follows like 70k people.

Yes, you can tweet and even advertise your ebay listings.
Relative to twitter - while I have not researched it, there is usually a program written by someone to do almost any process automatically. You'll have to research.
Tweet with care - your listings - otherwise, to many tweets promoting your items for sale will lead to your account being disabled for 24 hours...I am sure you can see I experienced that...lol
I don't think you want to tweet so much that you lose all your followers... gotta have some content of interest and this content sponsored by ... this product...lol
Cheers

Facebook often has sales interest groups, plus their Marketplace. For example, I follow a "Vintage Girls Toy Sales" group where collectors buy and sell Care Bears, Strawberry Shortcake, etc. I'm sure there are also groups for motorcycles, books, clothing, anything you can imagine.
Some groups allow links to eBay auctions and others don't . Just read the group rules.
Also make sure sales posts are even allowed in the group. Some groups are for discussion of a hobby only, no sales.

Yes ... but .... be considerate of your actual friends and family. Friends don't let friends SPAM their feed
Set up a business Facebook page, a business Instagram and a separate Twitter handle.
Invite your friends and family, follow some people on IG & Twitter (find them by keywords that you will be using to post).
be careful of Twitter. They do ban "spammy" accounts.
Don't just post links as-is. eBay's default "check it out" content is just lame LOL.
Try to post actual content in between listing posts. Stay on topic, though ... content related to your items is good .... pics of your pets and your lunch, not so much
Example....I sell china and crystal. I post my items ... and I post table setting ideas ... pictures of lovely food on lovely plates, articles about summer dining, fall dining, winter dining, etc ....
I also put a business card in every package. It lists my eBay store, my Etsy shop and all of my social media and business email address ... I have gotten cross sales from Etsy and eBay because if that ... and new followers on one or the other of the accounts.
It will take a while to build a following, but it will happen if you are consistent and interesting.
I have found that IG is bringing the most sell-through lately.
Don't ignore Pinterest.
But another warning about that. Keep your boards clean. Delete all broken links (solids and ended unfolds over 90 days old) Pinterest will derank you for stale broken links.
Pinterest images are very googleable ... make sure that your content is spot on with good keywords and direct links.

Do you have any particular advice for using Pintrest? That is one platform that I'm really unfamiliar with, but it definitely gets pulled up in Google searches a lot.

Follow other boards ... repin other things that are "like" yours to a separate board.
Create boards that aren't generic.
For example, I have a "Christmas All Year" board and a "Bold Beautiful Blue" Board (everything blue) and others.
Keep your links up to date. If a listing ends or sells, remove the pin.
Pin stuff that compliments your listings.
Don't just post straight links with no text. Use accurate hashtags and keywords.
Basically, the same things you would do on other social media 🙂
Keep it alive. Don't just "post and forget". Add new content regularly.
