Re: ups label when do i get charged?

The charge does not show up until after UPS delivers the item, at such time any adjustments will be made.

If you plan to use UPS regularly, you don't want ebay in the middle or incorrectly calculating charges.  Open your own UPS account or for the best rates and services not otherwise available to you, open a free PirateShip account, which will integrate directly with ebay to import orders and upload tracking numbers.

I still  have not been charged for this label even though it was delivered on June 20. Does anyone know when I will be charged? And why isnt this auto matic?

Re: ups label when do i get charged?

In addition to the advice  rfmtm provided you should also be aware that when you purchase UPS labels through eBay the cost is an estimate and may not be what you actually pay. There have been a number of horror postings on this forum about unilateral charges being levied on sellers after the actual delivery and UPS has a TON of surcharges.

I seldom use UPS but when I do I always purchase the label through PirateShip which has protection from surcharges. What you pay for the label, provided your dim and weight are correct, is what you actually pay for the label.

Thank you for the info. I wasnt aware that it is an estimate. Do you know if shipping with  FEDEX is an estimate too? And does FEDEX add surcharges? THanks for your help.

I believe the FEDEX cost through eBay is also an estimate but I have never used them and I don't recall any postings about FEDEX unilateral charges but FEDEX does have a considerable number of surcharges.

Re: ups label when do i get charged?

all the advice on this page is good and accurate....

It may take a week or more after delivery to get the final UPS charge.

(it is a UPS delay....not ebay)

I always follow this advice...I drop my pre-paid (pirateship) item off at the UPS store, and make them weigh it. It has saved me on multiple occasions.....(as well as USPS weighing in on eBay International Services)

Consensus seems to indicate FedEx is even worse than UPS for fabricated errors.....
