I have been selling on ebay for 20 years, recently I have this problem: when I am listing an item and click add pics and go to the folder where they are they open in reverse order, first pic is last etc, my folder when opened without trying to upload are in the correct order, so I have to go in reverse to pick the pics I want to add which puts them in reverse on ebay, I have spent many hours trying to figure out why all of a sudden this is happening, I am still using the same computer and camera. any input will be welcome
thanks

I noticed the same thing, but I am able to scoot my pictures around when they are out of order.

You can hover over the picture you wish to "move" or "re-arrange"; a little message will pop up that says "drag to re-arrange." You can then move the pictures around to the order you wish them to be. I have included a picture showing the message that pops up when I put my mouse over the image.
Both of the pictures in this dummy listing are the same, I just did this to demonstrate. Hope this helps.

I'm not entirely sure what might have changed, but it may be that you have accidentally clicked on a column heading in your file folder that's rearranged the order unintentionally. If you're seeing the filename order backwards, for example, click on the heading for Filename (at the top of the filename column) and they should flip to the opposite order (e.g. Z to A will become A to Z).
All that aside, you can select the upload order of files while you're in your file folder, but you must do them last first. Hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard while you selectively click on each filename in turn, starting with your last image and working back to the first. You should see your selected filenames stacking up in the desired order in the filename field at the bottom of the window, each filename within "double quotes," like this:
"alpha.jpg" "beta.jpg" "gamma.jpg" etc.
Once you're done, they should all upload in sequence. Dragging them around after uploading is always an option, but should not be necessary if you ordered them as desired when Ctrl+clicking on each filename.
