Well, once again EBAY does NOTHING to back up the seller! As a twenty-year seller (TOP-RATED PLUS) who has always been blessed with 100% feedback (I go the extra mile to keep it, believe me!), I received my first negative feedback today, which at my request EBAY did not remove, and here is my story...
I ship the item, a large book, on time and USPS tracking confirms that it was delivered today, 11/23 (Saturday) at 3:42 p.m. IN THE MAILBOX. Within an hour, with NO notification from the buyer, I see that I receive a negative feedback from said buyer stating that the 'item was stolen off their front porch.' Not only did I get blindsided, I didn't even have time to send them a refund (which I did immediately thereafter) before they left the negative- but EBAY customer service or whatever it is (or isn't) would not remove the negative! What is EBAY coming too? How can an event beyond a seller's control be our fault? Did I steal the item 'off the front porch?' The buyer is probably lying anyway being a scammer, but that's not the point. The point is that this negative FB injustice is so infuriating, I don't know what to do. Its hard enough getting sales on this platform, I have to scratch and claw and use every artifice to make one measly sale, every little advantage helps, and I believe 100% feedback is a necessary tool for more sales. I personally feel more secure buying from a seller with top FB, so I assume that's the case with most buyers! I feel like just closing up my EBAY store and saying screw it, because obviously EBAY doesn't have your back and hasn't for MANY YEARS NOW!!!

Unless a buyers opens a case against you for non delivery keep your hands in your $ pocket. Then when or if they do, you attach the a copy of tracking number to the case and poof the case is closed and eBay would remove the red hickey and you would have the money. from the sale. You will have to work with eBay to get it removed. Start by going to the Help & Contact link at the bottom of this page RH side and get to work to get this hornets nest unwound.
eBay system doesn't not & cannot scrub every negative FB posted to see if it legit or not even for TRS+ folks. It is up to the seller to follow proper protocols . Welcome to the realities of cyberspace world where every dot imust be placed in the proper order & t must crossed for everything to work smoothly.
Ya' learn something new every day-EH?.

If you add the resourcefulness of every executive in the eBay Hamilton Ave C Suite, they don’t have half the intelligence of big sellers on eBay using zero feedback burner accounts created just to leave targeted feedback for competitors.
But since -- according to the conventional wisdom here -- no one bothers to read feedback, what difference does it make?

the same thing happened to me this week,i have picture proof in a listing, the buyer lied about and gave false statement negative feedback to me,i filed a removal and received automated response that it does not violate policies,a blatant lie from a buyer when i have picture proof and i am stuck with a negative

There are countless examples of criminal executives at eBay, not following their own policies.

Your reply to that FB was excellent. Why would you abandon your very successful eBay career because of one numpty?
Why not just contact eBay, give them the tracking info and ask for removal of the FB? Why call the buyer a scammer and accuse them of lying? Your post here appears to have been made in the heat of the moment. Perhaps theirs was also.
Not exactly sure why you'd immediately refund. Not sure why you think a buyer is required to contact the seller before leaving neg FB.

You are talking like eBay has functional customer service. They don’t.
You are talking like an accessible feedback department. They don’t.
The culture of eBay is a mold. It’s “screw your efforts to maintain your feedback rating”. It’s community apologists and shills waving off someone’s care for their account along with eBay’s “inability” to help.
the culture of eBay is mismanagement, screwing sellers (now offsite, for even LESS accountability) and maintaining their bloated stock price. eBay is a benchmark for a Silicon Valley corporate dirge.
But who doesn’t love “Brock Allen Turner”?

That is an overstatement. There are many people that read the feedback of a seller. Most will not care about a little bit of bad feedback unless the response from the seller is unprofessional, name calling, etc.
I'm not aware of what the other poster is talking about with throw away accounts. I'd need more info.

What rule does the feedback they left violate? Be specific. If you can locate that, contact Ebay and appeal the decision to have it removed. But approach them with the evidence in hand.
Your response to the feedback doesn't make sense to me. Why did you say "...16 GAMES WORKING! PLUS ALL OTHER GAMES WORK..." If they all work, why specifically say 16 work and the others work. Why not say that all 53 games work?

No offense... but if I was going to order something from you, all I need to do, according to your reply on the feedback, is just say in my feedback to you is that the package was stolen, and I would get a refund from you automatically.
Your reply SHOULD have been something like "Tracking shows package was delivered. I'm willing to work with buyer to the best of my ability to assist) or something like that

There isn't anything new in that link. Most know about this from the summer of 2019. And as the article says, most are serving prison time for their actions. What does this horrible piece of Ebay history have to do with now?

You really need examples? I heard there was a book in the works that was just a list. It’s 9,657 pages long.

That was a DECADE ago. They didn't get any financial info. I'm not sure of your point. I don't live in the past.
Do you have examples of current issues, not that this particular issue has anything to do with bad behavior by Ebay employees that you were talking about in the post in which I responded too.

Very well said. I agree completely, I wish EBAY did!

I was so angry in the moment, that I did what I did... I have been lucky in my 20 years of selling here on Ebay that I have had few if any scammers... this negative feedback incident was like the straw that broke the camel's back. I was seeing red, not thinking things through. You know, in all my years of buying on this site- since 1998- I have NEVER left negative feedback! Neutral, yes... but I agree with you, thank you for your input.
