A buyer posted negative feedback after keeping an item not his, then claiming he never received his intended item-YET, the post and online tracking show delivery. He left damaging feedback, and because he has "private" status, I can't leave feedback nor respond to his negative for other sellers to see. It's just wrong that theives can manipulate eBay's system for their benifit...and to the detritiment of an honest seller. If you agree, tell eBay enough with thsi feedback system: It needs to be fair."Private "status should not be able to leave feedback.

You have replied to the neg.
And since May 2008, sellers have been unable to leave buyers negative feedback, it isn't because the buyers feedback is private.
Sellers are also not allowed to leave a positive rating with neg comments.

By that, do you mean you sent them the wrong thing? Yeah, you earned that neg and technically, they never did receive their item.

OP, if you sent him the wrong item then technically it IS his now. It would be nice if he helped you out by sending the incorrect item back, but he is under no legal obligation to do so.
