I wish Ebay had a little stricter standards in two areas. I have been with Ebay for years. I have been both a buyer and a seller through the years. I do not understand when someone is selling worldwide, why they are not rules to post both metric measurements and regular measurements. If I am looking for something and I see metric measurements I just move on. If they want to up their sales and as a ccourtesy to potential buyers make it mandatory to post both measurements if they are selling worldwide. I can understand if you are just selling in the U. S. just posting feet and inches, but when I am looking for items and I am willing to wait longer for the item, they should be made to post measurements both ways. The other thing is if you are in the United States at least make it mandatory to post the state so the buyer knows about how long to expect the delivery before they purchase. If something says United States many times it is shipped in and the buyer is left sitting here waiting for the item. Shipping from China, Hong Kong, and other places should not take three months. There shoudl be a limit on the delivery time. I ordered essential oils in February and have yet to receive them. I contacted the seller and they ask me to wait longer I said no I want a refund, which they gave me. While other sellers from those locations have reasonable shipping times such as three weeks not three months. It is unreasonable.
Thank you

I've been on ebay for ages and in all that time, I only saw one seller who listed in both cm and inches. They were in the UK. I messaged them and complimented them profusely.
You can do a quick conversion online by asking this many centimeters is how many inches, but I understand if you don't want to do that.
International orders generally involve longer shipping times. Be careful to check both the item location and the seller's location because although the item location may say US, the item may inexplicably ship from the seller's location, China. Check estimated delivery timeframes. If it seems lengthy, you can hit the back button. Buying internationally can be problematic.

An order coming from Homg Kong or, China or wherever should never takes more than three weeks. Mine have been taking three months which is unacceptable when other buyers care about getting their orders out and have them to me in that time frame they all should have to ship within a certain number of datpy so not two months after the sale. I understand if it is a large item, but jewelry fixings and essential oil shoild not take three months, especially when you don't get an email for two months that it was just shipped. As far as measurements that would also be helping the seller to list in both metric and inches. I am not the only one that just goes right past if it only has metric. I use to convert them online but not anymore, I am the buyer. I move on and find someone who cares enough about their sales and being helpful to the customer lists both.

In the 1970s, the US moved towards using the Metric system, but public resistance kept if from becoming official. As of now, the US is far behind the rest of the world, one of only 7 countries (some very, very small) who don't use it as the standard:

Overall, it really is better and more accurate.
As to item location, that has become a losing battle in the dozens of threads posted here about it. Despte a clearly stated policy, it has become obvious that Corporate does not think it's important and it simply is not upheld when listings are reported. It could be easily corrected by simply requiring a Zip (or other official postal) Code rather than any text location.

Unbelievable just because it's way to hard for you to convert metric to standard
measurements you want non USA sellers that sell to the USA to be required to put both measurements in ads.

I’ve always used both metric and Imperial in the majority of my listings. But that is partly because Canadians in my age group grew up being familiar with both and also because I want to appeal to buyers who use either system.
