I have no space or very very minimal space--
Can I put in my listing that I only list for 7 days then item will be donated to the thrift shop?

Nobody will care, many won't even read it.

I doubt it matters at all. Most won't read it and even if they do they won't care. If they see your item and the price is right and they really want your item they will buy it regardless if you warn them you are going to end it. Also if you do not end it and they notice 8 days later it is still there they will know you're lying.

I wouldn't be lying.

How about a positive spin?
"Before I take this to Goodwill I thought I'd offer you a chance to get a bargain"
Poor salesmanship to tell the potential buyer that it's junk right out of the gate.

its not junk out of the gate.
I do my research on here with advanced sold items and see what others have sold.
I try and sell in that ballpark.
The problem is not junk out of the gate----is no views.

If you're willing to give it away, it makes it sound like junk.
Best not to say anything like that in your listing.

my biggest problem with eBay is where to store the items I am selling.
I volunteer at a thrift shop and there are donations there that are absolutely not
junk. Its 100% charity and we get lovely items...

Well that is a different issue. Organization in your home and space can be real issues for us sellers. But one we must deal with. You just need to designate an area in your home and organize it the best you can.
But I'm with the others. Putting a statement like that in your listings is likely to have more of a negative impact on your sales than a positive one.

It would make me think that the seller is trying to manipulate me. I wouldn’t like that.

you will be encouraging people to make lower than lowball offers that way seeing you are going to donate it anyways in the very near future so they will think why not to me? you will probably get the person that will want it donated to them because they are short on cash because they have cancer or they just buried a love one or some other scam so they can get free or near free to resell it for a profit.

If storage is an issue, maybe think about getting a big camper and park it in your backyard. You can buy them cheap, cheaper than a storage unit and lots of communities allow you to park them in your backyard.

thanks thats helpful but my community does not allow anything in the yard or driveway other than a licensed vehicle.
I guess the days are gone where you get bids in the first 7 days?
I'm literally getting 5-10 views...
I'm not selling junk.
just very low views.

No there are still 7 day auctions. They haven't gone away. But you are right, not near as many buyers like auctions anymore. They want to purchase and move on. I know there are some categories where auctions still work well. But sadly not in what I sell.
