shopping cart question

Is there a limit to how many items a buyer can place in their cart at one time? I have a buyer who wants to purchase 56 items from one listing and wants a discount. Can she add all 56 items to her cart at once and ask for an invoice?

They can order  57 of a single item.  The limit is 40 different items to a seller per Order.  In this case it's a quantity of 57 on a single item.

As to being able to request an invoice, that's a whole nother pile of stinky stuff.  eBay disables the request invoice (or Request total) for all sorts of reasons (mostly bad reasons).  I've complained about this mutliple, multliple, multiple times to no avail.  Have them try, you might get lucky!

the seller can always place a limit on the amount of sales toone buyer by placing a maximum via their account.

Re: shopping cart question

Asking for a invoice may be tricky. She can try.
If that doesn’t work, you can make a separate listing with best offer, on the items she wants. List it at a price no one will BIN and send her the item number and have her send a best offer on it. (Whatever price you both have came up with)
Congrats on the sale by the way!

Everyone has options. Just be sure the best option is right for you.

Re: shopping cart question

Thank you so much for all your help! I will try having her ask for an invoice; and if that doesn't work, will go the "special listing" route.
