setting up a new account

I may have posted this question...lost track. Today upon some advice here I got a second non-store account to use for auctions. I got a 250 listing limit. But I am not sure I set it up right. I wanted to use PayPal for paying fees but while I saw the option it wouldn't work. Only a credit card. Is this the usual thing these days?

I find myself struggling with the idea of essentially abandoning my long time account. This would happen if I took all my auctions to a new account (my Fixed Price stuff doesn't sell like gangbusters). I'm starting to think maybe set up a hybrid system. For example use the free auctions for stuff I am experimenting on and may not sell. So it would be an add-on, not the whole ballgame.

I would imagine that since new sellers are going directly into Managed Payments, that they want you to stop using PayPal at all.

The other thing, there was nothing about Managed Payments that I could find.
