Re: selling

Read the help files others have referenced. I would also recommend you read and understand the eBay MBG before you post anything. As a new seller do NOT list high value, high target items. Scammers pray on new sellers. Start will small inexpensive items until you have some experience.

Re: selling

I see you are in Sri Lanka....oh...what the heck....

Start small. Don't start selling expensive electronics. All that will get you is red flagged by ebay and Managed Payments. If you have stuff around the house (collectibles...stamp collection, Matchbox, Hotwheels...etc...) start there.

Get some feedback built up first. Maybe buy a few items and see how the system works.

Re: selling

Do not sell coconut shell anything. I dont care if it was Great Grandma's favorite widget.

Look for items you can that will not cost you an arm and a leg to obtain.

Purchase some items that you plan to sell just to see how other sellers package their items. This also builds up your feedback score. You can always resell said items which will help you gain much needed skills to be a great seller.

Do not let buyers deal with your sales outside of eBay. You are setting yourself for a sure Scam.

Dont ever ship an item till eBay tells you to ship.  If you are ever in doubt whether you have been paid. Go to your dashboard under the  "Payments" tab and look for the payment. If you dont see it, You better not ship till your paid.  Best of luck. Stop in and let us know how you are doing.

Re: selling

You just registered 2 days ago. It takes 2-4 weeks to get approved to sell after you register a selling account.

Sri Lanka gov requires you to have a business license to sell on eBay.

You can sell on either a personal or a business account on eBay.  What type of account did you create?

You'll need to link a debit or credit card during registration to cover the cost of fees and expenses related to refunds and disputes.

You'll  need to create a new or existing Payoneer account and link it to eBay to receive managed payments payouts.  The type of Payoneer account you link must match the type of eBay account you have. Business Payoneer account to a business eBay account/Personal Payoneer account to personal eBay account.

A business Payoneer account may require you to have a business checking account or an approved bank account.

It is MOST IMPORTANT that the names on all your accounts, cards and documents match your National ID exactly.

After you are done it takes 2-4 weeks before you are approved. eBay will notify you by email telling you "You're all set" with the date your account is activated. Please don't attempt to sell until then.

While you wait you can go to Seller School. Some information  there is outdated or incorrect but it is helpful to learn

how to write a title.

Good luck.

Another thing is Seller School pushes paid store subscriptions yet you are restricted from the amount of listings you can make for several months. Thus you shouldn't subscribe to a store until you can list around 200 items.  Besides you might find out selling isn't for you, and a lot of new sellers make mistakes that end up getting them suspended.

Most sellers gain experience by selling household items and  clothing and accessories they no longer want. Don't list anything you can't afford to lose.
