I have an ebay sight (hastapalla), and my wife has one (sombra2010). Can I list an item on both sights. I maintain both.

NO!
Read the Duplicate Listing Policy
https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/listing-policies/duplicate-listings-policy?id=4255
Specifically this section:
Not allowed
More than one listing of an identical item listed separately by the same seller:

More than NO you CAN NOT, NO you SHOULD NOT,
What happens if a buyer wants 2 of what he sees listed, and buys both - one from hastapalla and one from sombra2010. So he buys both and, because you only have 1 to ship one sale becomes an out of stock. That gets you a big defect on that account.
BUT WORSE the buyer wanted 2 and, since he only received one, returns the one he has getting you a defect on the other account PLUS the cost of the return postage.
Why do you want to play silly games?

So you have two ids, on Ebay, which is the site, and you want to list an item on both ids. That is a recipe for disaster. You could conceivably sell the item on each id, and so one buyer won't get it, you would get an out of stock defect, which is very serious and can affect your selling privileges, and negative feedback from the unhappy buyer.

A simple no would have sufficed. Thanks

It may seem that more exposure that way would be helpful, but in reality, it can really hurt you and cause you problems.
But I see why you might think that would work.
